THE CPTEA STORY

WHERE REAL TASTE BEGINS

Our journey began amidst the bustling streets and vibrant culture of Cape Town, where diversity and richness thrive at every corner. Inspired by the beauty of our city and people, we set out to capture its spirit in every one of our rooibos teas (with a kick).

Hard Seltzers had just emerged as something new and exciting on our city’s shelves, promising a light and refreshing drink with low calories and sugar. But when it came to taste and ingredients used, they left much to be desired.

Determined to fill this flavour gap, we set out on a mission to deliver a tastea and high qualitea beverage that would elevate the drinking experience while celebrating the rich tapestry of local flavours and traditions.

At the heart of our mission was a desire to celebrate local flavours and proudly showcase rooibos tea, a beloved South African drink known for its unique taste and health benefits. And so… CPTEA was born and brewed – a sparkling rooibos tea infused with alcohol that combines the crispness of Hard Seltzer’s with the rich, complex flavours of rooibos tea and carefully selected natural flavour extracts.

Our goal was simple yet ambitious: to redefine the notion of what a light and refreshing alcoholic beverage could be, without compromising on taste or qualitea. And so, armed with passion and determination, we set out to make our mark in the beverage industry as a truly proudly South African brand that represents our land, people and heritage.

Our Rooibos Tea, which is the foundation on which CPTEA was built, is sourced from a local rooibos farm in the Cederberg who champions sustainable and organic farming practices.
